ANTIQUE ENGINE CLUB HOLDS 2ND ANNUAL PLOW DAY

On Saturday October 3rd the Edwards River Antique Engine Association held their 2nd annual plow day hosted again by the Blaser farms of Coal Valley. It was a frosty morning and the first of the tractors were having a tuff time of it with all of leftover "TRASH" from this years bumper corn crop. The old plows were rough and not scouring very good as well as plugging up with trash. But as usual human ingenuity kicks in and within no time at all the old timers (and some of the young ones) got things all adjusted and working pretty darn good. A Dispatch/Argus reporter came out and took pictures and wrote a really nice article for the Sunday November 4th edition of their paper featuring Ralph (Rasty) Moore.  To see the article and pictures from the event, click on this link http://qconline.com/archives/qco/display.php?id=361268&query=Plowing

OR go to www.qconline.com and search the archives for "plowing".

We would like to thank the Blaser Farms of Coal Valley for the opportunity again this year and also a BIG THANK YOU to Gene and Nathan Brookes for organizing this event.
