Minutes of the Edwards River Antique Engine Association for October 9th 2007

The Meeting was held at the Viola Village Hall.

It was called to order at 7:00 pm. by President Gene Brooks.

        The minutes were read by John Wyant.

        George made notion to accept minutes; Dean seconded.

The Treasurers report was read by Lloyd Carlson.

He reported a balance of $3202.73

Gene gave him $1756.00 from additional show receipts.

This gives a balance of $4958.73

Marshal made a motion to accept report; Deri seconded.

Gene went over the income sources from the show and asked for comments on the show.

He discussed someone doing music at next year’s show.

Gene said we needed to get the show directory information for next year decided.

We will be featuring Case tractors and equipment.

We picked Lloyd Carlson’s 1936 CC Case on steel to be the featured tractor.

We picked Deri Wilkins’ Case Garden tractor.

We will be featuring Gade engines.

We picked George Depaola’s Gade to be the featured engine.

We set the fall show date to be Sept. 20^th and 21st

Chuck is checking on a pedal tractor to raffle.

We then discussed the election of officers for 2008.

No one would volunteer to take an officer position.

Gene resigned his position and left the meeting.

John called for someone to please step up and take a position.

Dick McMeekan stepped up and agreed to take the President’s position, if he would only have to deal with

one show. He said if someone else would want to do other events that would be fine as long as they

organized them.

Dean Schwartzkopf stepped up and agreed to take the Vice President’s position.

Dick asked John if he would continue on as Secretary.  

Dick asked Lloyd if he would continue on as Treasurer.

There was a unanimous acceptance of the officers.

The next meeting will be our annual dinner meeting; it will be held at the Abbey Lanes Restaurant

in Abingdon at 7:00pm Friday November 9^th.

It was also agreed that the next meeting will not be held till March 2008.

Marshall Reynolds made a motion to adjourn and Bill Schutte seconded.

Meeting adjourned.
